AS I understand it, A.J. actually drove his last Indy 500 in '93, correct?
I got the Tamiya Lola T93/00 Duracell kit for this one. I am trying to line up necessities for my builds, and want to know if I am on the right track, here. And I seem to recall a few months ago, that Michael had those decals, but he no longer lists them?
I guess that means we will have to do the artwork........ If so, I will be asking for some pictures! ;D
Thanks Mongo.

The Indycals sheet (if you can find one) actually has markings for Foyts 14 and Robby Gordon 44? Ok, here is a cool trick ... Google "wayback machine" (comes from the old Rocky and Bullwinkle Cartoon show). You will get a website that actually has archived versions of nearly every website that has existed for the past 20 years. Enter in the search box "www.indycals.com" and you will get a list of links to the archived contents of the indycals website. If they (wayback machine guys) did it right you should be able to see what was listed on the site.

Robby was driving for AJ in '93 when Robby wrecked on Pole Day IIRC. It was then that AJ decided it was time to retire on the spot. So it was in a '93 Lola/Ford. IndyCals and I think Speedway Graphics have done this sheet - both are OOP I believe but an email to Mike @ Indycals might get you a sheet - I don't know. BTW, Robby was in the #41 I believe.

A guy named Lee Horn did several double sheets of decals for the Tamiya 1/20 Lola kits. I have a couple of his sheets and I'm pretty sure one does A.J.'s & Robby's car. I'll check and let you know.

Thanks, fellas! I got the story straight after I posted this, but I am committed (!!!) to this build. I understand that the decision made by A.J. to become the *manager* of the team was made since it was becoming harder to drive and also field another car.
I am interested in building all the Super Tex Indy cars possible. Ain't sure how far I will get, but I can at least build those which have available kits! ;D

Reading this post made me check my decal bin. I just happen to have all of the mentioned sheets. The 89 Foyt car from IndyCals is kind of like a Cady sheet as the white is printed separate and they have to be layered.(Could be why Mike doesn't offer any longer?) The other 2 sheets I have are for the 1/20th scale kit. One is from IndyCals and the other was printed by UMI. The difference between the 2 sheets appear to be that the IndyCal sheet is to do the car as it was at Indy because it has the USAC inspection decals and the UMI sheet is for the remainder of the season as it has the IndyCar series logo .

The Tamiya kit has a vent opening in the side of each side pod. I cannot see that opening in photos of either Foyt's or Mansell's car. Were those openings present on those cars? Thanks. Hi Hugh, I think it would be better if you posted this separately. It will probably get more views. ;D Mongo

It's a good car to build Bill as not only AJ Foyt took a ceremonial last lap in it but IIRC the next year he let Al Unser Sr get in the same car to do a ceremonial last lap!

Contact Michael @ Indycals - he did them before. Sometimes they aren't on his site because he discontinued them but sometimes they get shuffled off for whatever reason but are still available. Wouldn't hurt to ask! ;D

He had to use a non standard ink cartridge, and it would often break. So he's not doing anymore. Mongo
