Hello all, Did anybody ever make the correct wheel to do an accurate replica of this car? Also, what was the actual shade of blue used on the Hopkins Spl.? Thanks! Bill H

Hi Bill, The '55 Hopkins Special was 1955 Chrysler Rhapsody Blue Poly. (thanks to Russ Bundy and Bob Clindinst ;D ) I am doing that car right now, but I have yet to find a set of wheels that work on the Monogram kit that are correct. Might have to master some. ?? Mongo

[/IMG]
That was the standard Halibrand smooth wheel mounted inside out to get more offset to the chassis.

According to Bob Clidinst.....The Hopkins Special in 1955 was painted 1955 Chrysler Rhapsody Blue Poly. He was there and saw it run....I'd take that information to the bank!
Best to you
Russ
