OK, here we go.
I am not a great (not even an avarage) finisher so what looks bad is probably bad ;D
But I just wanted you to see the definite model as it is.
As I have commented to one or two, the TS55 is a bit of a failure: unless under surgery lights it looks black, but is a trickier paint than TS14. Nevertheless yes it's blue
My TS16 an was almost dry so there'll be some mishaps on yellow sections. BTW I checked some pics where the two yellows (painred and number stickers) are atually visibly different.
TS13 once decals are set. It also kills silvering!
Donor was the MP4/4, though radiators were from the spares box.
I am happy with the looks of the car, it depicts well the original.
You'll miss the radiator vent on the left. It made a last minute jump and landed (probably) on one of those rooms areas where you wouldn't find a bull.
OK, here's the Xmas build, enjoy!!!!
PS:
I forgot to add: I didn't use the 4/4's rims: I cut bits of 18mm plumbery copper tube...
Apart from the fact that the car simbolized the peak of Spaniards' achievements in F1 for most of last 30 years, the beast is bloody beautiful with its FW11/F1-88 style and the so celebrated yellow/"black" combination. Chrome wheels also help.
Take a sleek car, paint it black with white logos plus some flashing color patch and you'll most surely get a beauty. Just think of examples of such looks...
As a friend said, it really has the looks of a "Bad a$$", a true baddie ;-)
BTW,ir's not a conversion but a transkit (not a direct conversion of MP4/4 body).
You can see the transkit below.
From the MP4/4 I used floorpan, gearbox+rear susp.+wing (I saved the Honda V6), tyres, front suspension, and mirrors.
I was suposed to use the instrument panel and the steering wheel, but I didn't put them in, yet!
For pushrods and steering rods I used stretched plastic...
