As some of you know I recently posted about the 1980 winner from Bill J and my reservations about how to approach this build. I received overwhelming support (Thanks Cal) about this subject. There has been much discussion recently about buying the kits we want now in case Bill or Lance pull a Chris Etzel on us. (Doesn't seem likely, but like John Lennon said, "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans") I'd like to purchase a 69 winner and a 77 winner from Bill. My question is, have any of you built either of these kits and is there much difficulty in building them? How much self engineering is involved? In the photos of his kits on Evil Bay it looks as if they come pretty complete. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As always, thanks.

If you can find it and AncientModeler can help you find it ;D The real color for the '77 winner is "Poppy Red."

Hello Everyone!
From 1967 until the mid 1980's, Foyt's Indy Cars were painted a 66 Ford Mustang Color called, "California Poppy Red". There are a number of ways to get it. Dupi-Color has a red/orange that is very, very close.
Best to you
