New guy from the far Northwest suburbs of Chicago.
I've been lurking here and admiring the beautiful builds being posted for quite some time. As Im sure every one here is , I am a very enthusiastic motorsports fan and consider our hobby and the builds that result, to be fine works of art. Been building for years when time permits. I have primarily built stock cars and am a member of other boards with that as the main subject. My interest in open wheel cars has really increased lately and I plan to pull out some of those kits that have been stashed away. This forum contains a wealth of knowlage and information I hope to be able to utilize and contribute to. Can't wait to post pics of first Indy or F1 build! Probably will be AMT Kmart Lola T-8800 ( anyone make good aftermarket decals for this ?) or Tamiya Honda RA272 or mabey Revival Alfa P3 thats been tucked away forever.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I feel at home already! Decided to build '88 Kmart Lola T8800. The Indycals decals are on the way, tires sanded, preped and lettered, and engine assembly started. Looks like there might be some fit issues with the body work, I think I'm up to the challenge. Art, your thread was the inspiration to build this car. I may copy some of your modifications. Hope it turns out as nice as yours. Will post pics once it is finished. -Greg
