The main stumbling block seems to be one Dietrich Mateschitz who doesn't appear to understand the value of reasonable licensing terms.

Anyone that doesn't set reasonable licensing, makes me not want to buy there stuff. Kinda like the Tamiya - Goodyear situation. Totally stupid of Goodyear IMO On the other hand IIRC I guess Ferrari is one of the best to do Licensing with.

That's why God invented lawyers.. to make up rules that screws everybody but them, and if they are really good at it they become politicians or worse, President!! Licensing fees were a contributing factor to the demise of Carousel One as well as missing markings on the cars that were produced..
