I looked to see if I'd ever posted this, but didn't find anything. So here 'tis. This is Chris Etzel's Kurtis Midget kit. The markings are for a trucking company from Nashville, TN in 1955. This one is an injected Offy, so has the injector stacks sticking out of the hood. I built this for "Build & Detail Model Cars Like a Pro" for MBI in 2001. You're aware, of course, of Revell's incredible new Midget kits--one Offy, one Ford V8-60? I saved all the extra decals from the Etzel kit (there are about ten sets, including the Parnelli Jones Leader Card car) and am waiting patiently for the Revell kits to be released. Looks like they'll be a lot of fun. I've seen build-up posts and the models are said to fall together. They even come with a beautiful little trailer that'll hook up to Revell's '48 Ford Woody or '50 Ford pickup. Here are some links if you want to take a look. wwwboard.spotlighthobbies.com/index.pl?read=1589021Terry

Looks awesome, can't wait to see you use those extra decals in the future!

On the Etzel sheet that you refer to, Parnelli's car is the 83, Hollywood Spring and Axle...The Leader Card was driven by Rodger Ward.

Cool build! I have one Etzel original and a Vintage Indy Resin (who WAS that & did they do anything else?) re-pop. Haven't built either but they are creeping up the priority list.
