From Facebook Robin Miller Just got back from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where IndyCar PR man/Indy junkie Steve Shunck and IMS museum boss Ellen Byerly staged a photo shoot on the front straightaway with 33 winning cars. It was AWESOME. Channel 13 had a helicopter shooting it and Channel 6 did a live show so if you live in Indy, check it out tonight. I have a video of it but not sure I know how to download it here.

Everyone here should check out the photos of todays event at the Speedway. None of us here wouldn't mind a model display of what it looked like! Robin Miller is a real Asshat, but I envy him being there. The photos are azaming!
Best to all!

Loving the place the way we all do, I can't imagine how cool it would have been to be among those cars that day.

I googled "channel 13 news Indianapolis" and was able to go to the sports video and watch a 4 minute video taken from a helicopter, not close up but imporessive all the same. Not bad considering I am in the Los Angeles area!!!

Yes, but they really missed the boat not letting the public be there. What a great way to keep fans engaged in the off season. Bring some drivers in, have an autograph session and expand the fan base. I'm just hoping there will be a poster later.

Asshat? Can't find that one in Webster's....must be in the new urban youth dictionary.

According to the Britannica Dictionary,
Asshat, (noun) azz-hat One that thinks he knows it ail and is nothing more than a pontificating butt-head, thus an Asshat. See Robin Miller.
Depends on the crowd you hang with Mr. Indy...

Robin Miller is an expletive deleted, obscene gerund.

Okay, let me be more explicit. It is time for everyone to drop the Robin Miller bashing. His information was added because it was helpful information related to the topic.
Now what is this about the public not be invited to see this? Seems like a huge waste. C'mon Randy, I thought you wanted to grow the sport? You know what I mean?

My thoughts were running along the same lines (no, not picking on Robin but lack of publicity). The logic is lost on me as to why you would do this on a weekday and not on a weekend when you could really make something more out of it. Have an autograph session with old heads and new guys (and gals) and make it a really nice fan event. I would have liked to have seen this in person.

Yes, but they really missed the boat not letting the public be there. That would have been great! A once in a life time chance to see these cars in their element. Another screw up by IMS/Indycar.

What needs to happen is this......
Have the past winning cars, from the Hall of Fame Museum and privet collectors, lined up on the main straight just like the other day, and a concourse of past pace cars around the turns...A special poster of last Tuesday and a special display of cars from in the basement put into the Hall of Fame Museum, along with past winning drivers and mechanics inside the Museum where the cars normally are, and charge a small admission to help subsidize the cost of getting the past winners there for an autograph session. Along with that, have a small, and I mean small group of Indy Memorabilia Collectors there selling there products. Of course...I'd be more than happy to help organize this event. This could be done on a day after qualifying is done to honor the 100th Anniversary of the 500.
Best to all!
