I am so excited to find this board. I have been modeling since the late 50s and been following Indy, F1, Bonneville and Le Mans since about the same time.
I remember how exciting it was when the kit manufacturers at that time would come out with a new Indy car kit. Especially the 1967 STP Turbine (one of the few models to survive my long and twisted trek through time) and the Mickey Thompson LSR car. Only the gold rush of 1990's resin can compare!
I have always been manic for Detailing, and now in my later years I actually have the knowledge and resources to really drive myself nuts with hoses cables and wires.
You guys are doing some awesome work and it is great to see and hear from some of my more recent modeling heroes.
