Trevor,
Stop it...stop it...stop it! The Nissan is ZOWIE! The Shadow is...drool... drool...drool! The Belond is supurb! Be patient and let it cure awhile. Don't rush it like I did my Lotus 18. The Honda is on hold as I am moving.

A little progress. I roughed in the rear wheel spats and started to open up the back end. I wasn't happy with the headrest; I've added another 1.5mm to the height. Hopefully more progress soon. Hosted on Fotki

The recent passing of Jim Rathmann and the discovery of this great colour pic has me reinvigorated. I'm back on this project during breaks in my home renos. Hosted on Fotki

The gentleman at the tail of the car is the great Chief Mechanic, the late Jack Beckley. He was on par with Brawner, Bignotti, Porter and others in that era. This photo is from race morning as the crew has their badge backers on and the pit wall has been painted.

Wasn't it Beckley that wrenced Bobby Marshman's car in '64? I seem to remember a picture of him holding a pit board that said "COOL IT" shortly before Marshman bottomed out the Lotus and ko'ed the oil plug... Tim

Yes, Jack was the CM on that car. He was also on Vuky's 1955 car, Bettenhausen in 1961 among others. He suffered his share of tragedy, to go with his successes.

Currently I've sectioned about 3mm out of this thing and shot some primer. Mostly done the decal work on the Kuzma too.
