I guess you have all figured out I now know how to post photos, huh? Thanks DrDave!! This is Bill Jorgensen's 77 Indianapolis 500 Winner I built some time ago. One of the few cars with wings I like. Bill did a great job with this one! Simple to build and looks great when finish! A nice model of a historic car. The decals are from Indycals who also did a great job! Best to you Russ

That is an awesome job, Russ. I have a long term goal of building A.J.'s four winners, so it looks like I will need at least two more kits from Bill! Bill <><

Howdy Bill!
I have always been a big Foyt Fan.....Almost the biggest next to Bob Clindinst and Lance Sellers. I remember the day he won in 1977 very well. I was so convinced he was going to win, I got up early and audio taped the race that day. I still have that copy of the race.
Bill Jorgensen's kit is very good. He caught all the correct angles well and it goes together very easy. You'll need a few things before you start. E-mail me when your ready. My personal favorite is Foyt's 1964 Roadster. What a brute and it looked fast sitting still! Lance does a conversion kit for that one currently. I built his full kit version and I'm glad I have it. The Carousel model SUCKS BIG TIME!
I only have Foyt's 1961 Winner to build and I'll have all four done....I have them done in 1/43rd and I'm trying to build up nerve to do it. The paint job will be a tough booger!
Best to you
Russ

THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!!!!!!!! No matter what you think of him, Foyt was the man during this time at the Speedway. Best to you Russ

Hi Russ,
Well, old buddy, I have always been a huge Super Tex fan myself! In my opinion one of, if not THE, best race car drivers in all of history. Let's see, 4 times Indy winner, Lemans winner, Daytona 500 winner, and...........
I ordered Lance's conversion kit already for the '64! ;D (and I can't wait to get my grimy little paws on it!! LOL!!) That, along with a couple of AMT kits from very dear friend, will get me the '61 and '64 winners. Then it will be a situation of finding the other two kits.
Have you sent the pictures of the Herk Tombstone roadster yet???
Mongo (new nickname, long, funny story! LOL!!)

THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!!!!!!!! No matter what you think of him, Foyt was the man during this time at the Speedway. Best to you Russ The problem with IndyCar racing now is that there aren't any personalities like AJ's anymore. When the best thing you have going is a little 5'2" girl getting out of her car to confront a Ryan Briscoe, that just doesn't do justice to the old AJ way of beating the tar out of a guy in the pits after a race. And when it came to the driving, who can bully a car around now the way AJ did. What he did with those old roadsters was basically bronco-busting on pavement. Oh by the way, great build! ;D
