Hi Guys. I've been modeling all kinds of subjects since the '60s ('though I did take the '80s off). Mainly build race cars (mostly 1/43) but dabble in figures, planes, & armor. Haven't built a lot of open-wheeled models, but do have my favorites. I've also been photographing auto racing since the early '70s (again, taking the '80s off) - everything from Can-Am, to CART, to ALMS, to NHRA. You can see some of my racing photos and photos of some of my models at www.vintageRPM.com.

Welcome to the best modeling forum I know of. Lots of great guys here. I like your McLaren Can Am cars, I wish someone had produced them in a larger scale. I'd love an M20 in at least 1/25, but ideally 1/20 to go with the ones I have.

Welcome aboard, thats some nice models on your site. Can Am is one of my favorites also. Real nice work on the Craftworks hydro, I've had one under construction for awhile (along with far too many other things!).

Thanks, guys. Growing up, the Can-Am was my favorite series. When I found out I could just about do whole grids in 1/43, well... I'm way behind in putting up race and model photos on the site. Aiming at Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays to have time to put more up. And Sandy, if you can get the hood on over the engine on the Craftworks hydro, you're a better man than I.

Thats the same way I got into 1/43 kits... the only place to get a collection of Can Am cars. Thanks for the heads up on the Craftworks kit... Get the hood on it? I was still trying to figure out how to do the rear of the sponsons 'til I saw yours!!!! Nice kits, a bit labor intensive, awesome decal sheets. The engines are nice, but I'm using the Aires resin ones that are over the top detailed.
