This was 1992 - but I see it's still very active there.

Thanks again Frontyford, again you saved me from digging into the back issues for this one. Great Scans! Not long ago I picked up a model T just for this project. I think some finecast MG wheels wioll be in order though. I remember that some of the old AMT 3in1 kits had this Frontenac conversion. Does anyone know if there is a resin vender with a trans kit? Yes the Barber Warnock was still a regular at LS Historics last time I was out there. Here are a few more shots of the Logo and engine.

Think I am going to have to give this one a try! The '27 T kit used in the article had the Frontenac engine as an option. Thanks for the article Frontyford!

Just did a little looking into donor kits. The AMT/Stevens re-issued Vintage Police Car, kit #38679, is basically the same kit used in the article and It does contain the Frontenac engine.

I built that model when the magazine forst came out, did it just like Joe did, paper and all. When my mom passed away 22 years ago, i found it in her attic. I had to replace the wheels and the steering wheel, but it sits in my showcase just as i built it when i was 15 or so and i'm 63 now. For me it's a real "barn" find.

From looking at the pixs, there appears to be two different cars. Are either of them the real one?

That's really cool! I would love to see a picture of it. I plan on going with the paper for the build too. I think it will be an interesting build.

One question about these pages: This is great! at what size they must be printed to have a 1/24 or 1/25 model? Another questions: I have some of them, but where can I find moer Bob Clidinst drawings? has he ever published them in a book? Paulhooft@ziggo.nl

Ask, and you will receive. my son. Bob Clidinst 5731 Windmill Drive Indianapolis, IN 46254 Bob's drawings are 1/24 scale. If you send him a large SASE, I'm sure he will send a list of his drawings.
Take Care Craig

I think this model is a beauty: And needs to have much attention. Base on an easy to get, AMT Vintage Police car kit, Yoi can build a very nice 1923 Indianapolis 500 Special, including a Great Frontenac engine.. Paul
