Well.....This has taken me too long to get here. First, my hand doesn't work like it used to. Also, I had it to this point once before, and had something dropped on it and set me back a bit. Nice to paint in lacquer when paint is chipped. Easy to fix. I'm turning out of turn three headed for turn four on this one. I'm really looking forward to crossing the finish line on this one. A GREAT KT, deserves better than I building it. Lance did a great job! Best to you Russ

Awesome work, Russ!
I would like to do that one sometime down the road, myself. Something about the Novi's that has always had my attention.
Keep using that hand, it will get better over time. Bill <><

I GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
During the earthquake in Southern California today, something fell off my shelf and hit this sucker chipping off the tail! I'M PISSED! Oh well, if it was easy, anybody could do it. Well, back to the drawing board.
Best to you all....and duck and cover

Damn sorry about the earthquake damage to your great looking Novi. Most important is that you're OK. Sandy

Russ, Glad to here you are ok. If the "shake, rattle, and roll" gets to be to much for you, you can always come back to Oklahoma and "enjoy" Tornado season!

Okay....for what it's worht...I FINALLY GOT THE SUCKER FINISH!!!!! With apologies to Lance Sellers. This just proves that a good model kit sometimes is fool proof. It deserved a lot better fate than at my hands, or hand. This is a beautiful kit and Lance should make a few more for builders. It is a BRUTE next to other cars of it's scale. Good work Lance!!!!!!!!!! Best to all Russ

Good on ya for finishing it! Not only did you finish it, but you did another "Russ's Gangbusters Good Job" on it. It really is a beautiful model without even considering its history. Thats the level of quality I'm shooting for. All the things surrounding its completion makes it an inspiration for me to get busy and build AND finish models. All the best to ya, Sandy

Hey Russ! Great to see the finished Paul Russo Novi. This has always been one of my favorite Indy Cars. I was able to see a real Novi (a 4wd Ferguson) run at MIS as part of the warm up act for the US 500 held in competition against Indy (hey, the tickets were free, what can I say and I only live an hour away). They didn't run it full song obviously but how I wish I could have seen these in their prime. Glad to see you could overcome the obstacles you had to getting this completed. Have a great day! Tim

Great build, Russ! That car IS a brute! My Bettenhausen version is in the home stretch, needs a few more suspension pieces and gauges and I'll post some pics.
Later, Brian

Hi Russ,
After our phone conversation, I got to thinking........... I know the hands isn't up to where you want it to be, or where it WILL bee, but you are still enjoying the hobby, and building great models. No need to make any excuses at all. You are still leaps and bounds ahead of many of us! In other words, keep up the outstanding work and things will return to normal as you continue to work with the hand problem.
Also, THANK YOU! for helping us all out so much, I don't know of anyone who doesn't appreciate it.
Mongo
