I completely enjoyed todays race, for the first part I actually thought we would see a LOTUS in the winners circle but alas it was not to be, they are getting stronger at every race though. There was no chicken stuff calls today and there was even some real honest racing going on..I was very pleased to see Dario win, even if it was a Gannassi car. The nice thing at my house is my wife loves Ashley Judd so there is no way in Hell anyone is changing the channel if Dario might win, because she wants to see Ashley in the winners circle.. Overall Great Race, Great Result at a beautiful track.. Congrats to Gannassi for the Triple win, Grand Am, NASCAR and Indy Car a legacy that may never be matched... Chris

Well Gooch, I guess it depends on what you call " A Fan". I AM a fan of side by side racing open wheel racing drivers deciding the outcome American drivers having a chance sportsmanship multiple engine, chassis combinations TV people knowing what they are talking about I am NOT a fan of cookie cutter cars push to pass red and black tires only 2 teams having a shot at winning 3 or 4 Americans in the field pit crews deciding the race outcome street racing buy a ride stupid rules TV people who don't have a clue When I think about what Indy Car racing could be, compared to what it has become, it just makes me sick. Take Care Craig

Major racing series across the board have been kind of disappointing this year. Smaller fields, dominance by one or two teams, bad officiating, etc. F1 is the lone exception. Mark Webber is doing his best to make it interesting.

Mark Webber is doing his best to make it interesting. Actually for Indycar the highest car count outside of Indy was 24 in 2009. The lowest car count for 2010 has been 24 (twice) with 29 cars entered for Chicago.

I should have clarified. The fields for Grand Am and American Le Mans both look smaller than they were in previous years. American Le Mans has eliminated entire classes and replaced them with amateur classes.

American Le Mans has eliminated entire classes and replaced them with amateur classes. I think that sportscar racing is suffering from 2 competing series ( like Indycar a few years ago). My guess is that ALMS will go away, but either way, one has to go. Take Care Craig

It looks like I am mistaken (again). The ALMS classes of LMPC and GTC are NOT amateur classes.
