A lesson to be learned by me...NEVER LEAVE A MODEL IN THE SUNNY WINDOW! You may remember my Lotus Mk 18? Well...I error-ed and this is the result... Before... after exposure... before... after exposure... and before... and after... I'm heart broken and bummed. I put alot of effort into this model and I never saw what was happening to the right side as the left side has no damage! Beware all! Patrick

Oh Shoot! That really Sucks, I feel your pain.
Yep, its best to keep models out of any sunlight, even to keep from the paint jobs from fading over time.

I lost about six HO passanger cars the same way. Also be careful of Carousel One cars, I have experienced UV damage on a few.

OH sheeeeet!!!! I experienced something similar when I forgot a bag full of bodywork parts on the rear tray of my hatchback car. I feel pain.
I'd say that the only thing you can try is making a burnt car diorama witha pair of marshals and extinguishers... What was the kit? a Merit, maybe?? Hmmm. they pop up on Ebay, but painfully expensive!!! All my condolences again

"I'm melting! I'm melting! You've destroyed my beautiful wickedness! What a world! What a world!" Bet you won't do that again! Seriously, a good lesson for all of us. Not many would share that. Thanks Patrick and I add my condolences too.

I was in my car following a buddies car home from a model show down a 2 lane highway, he was an excellent Tamiya Motorcycle builder , won many awards, all of a sudden traffic came to a screaming halt, he had put the box of a half dozen models on the rear package tray in his car, and I saw that box hit the front window with extreme force!!!!! Some one had a heart attach on the other side of the road and everyone was stopping to help.... All of the model were flattened with the impact of flying across the interior of the car and hitting the front glass at about 60mph.... He never did that one again... Chris

Ouch. The heat sure made a mess of that one. I'm sorry to see that.

Thanks all. At least the left side shows no damage! Someday I'll come across the fiberglass Lotus 18 slot car body I've seen and presto! I'll be ready. Anyway...I learned alot building that car, I pushed my abilities further and I did get to show it at this years NNL/West!
I tell my students...making mistakes is ok as long as you don't make them a second time. I highly doubt I will! ;D

Sorry to see this Patrick Put the good side facing out and it'll be a good shelf build for the collection. Jordan
