There was also a Dick Simon Racing Duracell Lola produced by Tamiya. It was a speedway car versus the Andretti Lola which was a road course car.

I have these PC-6 Kits
'78 Mears Cam2 #71 '78 Andretti Gould #7
'79 Mears Gould #9
Plus I know there was a Norton Spirit #1 version - not sure if that is Bobby Unser or Sneva but I kinda thought they might both have versions - not 100% though.

Monogram made several 1989(?) Kits with removable sidepods and in 1/24. A little better detail than the AMT kits and a lot nicer for the builder as they came with RC and SS wings, as well as about every real engine in the series (except buick) but rather plain without aftermarket detailing because of the bump in scale. They also tended to feature some interpretive usage of decals, the Porsche being the absolute worst! There was the:
#3 (Unser Jr) Valvoline March Chevy V8A #2 STP Vince Granatelli STP Lola-Cosworth (Gurrero?) #8 Quaker State March Porsche (Fabi) reissued a couple years ago as well #10 Raynor Lola-Judd (Derek Daly)

There was also the Planter/Mac Tools Buick. Interesting to see praise for those 80s Monogram kits as most ppl seem to favor the 80s AMT kits. Good to have all types here! ;D

Say, does anyone know what year chassis the Monogram kits were please? Lola/March 88's or 89'S?
Thanks!

Monogram kits are for 1988, Lola's are done better than the March's, Lola's can also be used for 87 year cars. Lance

For the AMT kits of the 80's do they all have the same engines?

For the AMT kits of the 80's do they all have the same engines? No. The Penske's and the Newman Haas Lolas have Chevy's, all the others have Cosworths. And the Chevy's in the Penske's and Lola's are different - specifically the gearboxes are totally different. As for the Cosworth Lola's there are two variation - one with the pop-off valve at the front of the plenum, one at the back. The parts for these engines are the same, but the bodywork on the cars are different, depending on where the pop-off valve goes.

Thanks for info, I thought there was also a Buick V6 kit but it's been what 15 years since I built one. If I get some of your indy decals I should just use your recommendations for which kits to use. P.S. I really like the INDY DECALS I already have so keep up the great work. **EDIT - fixed the quote**

Update on the Buick V6 - Shapeways has a new pricing structure for Frosted Ultra Detail and Frosted Extreme detail. In some cases some files have gone up in price, some have come down, some are about the same as they used to be. One item that REALLY benefitted from the new pricing structure is the Buick V6. Best I can figure is the FUD price came down about $8-9 and FXD came down about $17!!!
