Hey guy,
Just a comment, not a criticsim...
You may ant to add a "Flat black wash" over the transmission part of your model. Now, if you don't have an idea to what that is....mix 8 parts thinner to 1 part flat black paint, (Give or take a bit, no "right" way to do this, it depends on your taste for what you want....), take a small brush and dab a bit in the corners of you transmission housing, let gravity do the rest and fill in the molded lines of that part. Then after that, dry brush, (Dry brushing is take a paint brush, dip into the paint you want, then go over a rag cloth taking off the excess paint leaving a little on your brush, and lightly go over the part so what little is on your brush, goes over the highlighted part leaving just a trace of paint...it's easy.), the original color you painted on the part, be it silver or flat aluminum to bring out the high points. Try this first on a spare part....practice makes perfect.
Looks great so far! Keep up the good work!
Best to you!
Russ

Looks nice and clean, but yeah the black wash on the trans. and the headers will do wonders in the detail department

Very nice build!!
As for Russ' suggestion on the flat black wash, I can tell you firsthand that it really brings out the depth of detail on the trans/engine areas. I'm not the painting wiz that Calvin and Michael are, but I do give myself pretty good marks on painting the engine and trans. The nice thing with this Lola, and its kind of a neat detail, is that on the side of the trans you can find the "Lola" nameplate. The blackwash and drybrushing brings this out nicely.
