I think this would be a good place for this model. This poor Model A has been wandering around my desk in one form or another for more years than I care to remember. I wanted to make a '40s multi-purpose hod rod/jalopy/lakes racer. The conceit is it's a barn find of an abandoned or interrupted project. This version is curbside, as the chassis is a basic hack job just to get the stance. A Model Car Garage resin track nose and photo etch grill was used. It's for a Model T, so it's a little narrow, but OK for my use. While the body is primered, I decided that the nose and hood would be hammered out of bare aluminum (Model Master Aluminum). '32 Ford wheels were used and the rears were widened to hold the knobby truck tires. The hub caps were left off and axle spindles installed. The bomber seats actually came out of Dodge D-50 kit as bed mounted seats. I guess the owner needed some extra padding under his butt. Some interior panels were made and installed. I found out the the headers I was trying to copy were made from late '30s Ford drive shafts cut in half. The tapered ends were a good size for the first head pipe and the alloy had a certain 'ring' to it from the exhaust pulses. There is a lot of discussion in the shop as to what direction the latest project should go. Thanks for looking.

Cool model. I like the subtle weathering. Those seats look really uncomfortable. It sort of reminds me of El Caballo de Hiero.

Really nice build, the primer body and natural metal nose really have that 'back yard special' look. Top off the tank, fill up the cooler and head for Muroc!
