All they could talk about on Vs. was how well Danica put up a fight tonite. She gave all she had at Texas

Yep, she did a good job. Her car was fast at the start and to my surpise it stayed fast at the end.

I thought it was a good race and I'm not particularly fond of the mile and a half oval races. It also looked like there was a decent crowd in attendance. What was up with the emergency crew that responded to the Simone de Silvestra crash? It seemed like they took a long time to attend to the fire and get her out of the car. It looked like the first emergency vehicle to arrive may have had a malfunction with the fire hose or pump.

That frightened me that the fire hoses didn't work and the neck restraint is supposed to loosen with just one pull and the EMT's couldn't dislodge it. Can you say re-do ? I can. I don't think Brian Barnhart will put with that one lil bit more

I am not a Danica fan, but last night, for the first time in 5 years she looked like a real racer. Take Care Craig

One reason Texas always sells well is that Season Ticket owners have to buy tickets to the Indy weekend to get their two Cup weekends. For many years, my brother bought me the IndyCar tickets from his wife's cousin since all she wanted was the NASCAR part of the season.
I used to make every IRL race at the track but sadly I've gone 1 of the 4 races since getting hitched - my niece (in-law) has dance recitals that same weekend every year so I end up in Arkansas several hundred miles away from the track.

I actually scored some free tickets but I was not feeling well so I didn't go. With it being around 97 degrees, I would have thought twice about going even if if I had been feeling well.
I remember going to the ALMS race years ago. It was frickin' 107 degrees! I won't do that anymore.
