Hi all, The Gold Cup Historic Races are going on this weekend at the Virginia International Raceway, and I was able to get away and spend a few hours there yesterday. The Group 9 qualifying run had a dozen cars, mostly Lolas, along with a Swift and I thought I heard them mention Brabham. Here are some pics. Sorry for the quality. I shot them with my iPhone, which takes better photos than my little POS digital. One thing I noticed on one of the cars was the comb-like flap at the trailing edge of the rear wing. Pretty cool! Lot of other interesting cars there, too, but not as many as last year. Several Lotus 51s, a Ferrari GTO, Mark Donohue's Sunoco Camaro, Lola T-70 Spyder and a Mk.III, and the usual zillions of Porsches, MGs, & Triumphs. I'll be happy to post a few of those pics, if anyone is interested. Ben

I'd like to see the photos. If you can't post them here, then I recommend this road racing forum: rrmbforums.proboards.com/index.cgi?They let me post some "off topic" car show photos a couple of months ago.
