FYI I've read the gloom and doom on the tire marking issues so I e-mailed Kevin at Strada Sports about his supply of Shabo products. He says he has some left so I ordered some today. If anyone is thinking about using these products in the future I'd get whatever you can now.

I think I got the last set of dry transfers. I ordered 2 and they refunded me for one set and the shipping charge. So now I have a question in relation to tires: How do you get that semi-shiny look on the side of the tires if the letters have been sanded off? I like to have tires look "scuffed" but not where the lettering goes. This was kind of covered here, but I must have done something wrong. mb2501.proboards52.com/index.cgi?board=cart&action=display&thread=8

I'd try Testor's sanding films. Item 8802, I think Michael's has it, but I'm not sure. Work your way down the grades to the finest one. I read somewhere years ago that one guy ended by buffing with denim. I tried that by rubbing the tire against my jeans and it seemed to work okay, kinda gives it a shine. As with all sanding, go slow and easy. Good luck. BTW, isn't Kevin at Strada great to work with?

BTW, isn't Kevin at Strada great to work with? Thanks for the tip. I'm not sure who I worked with at Strada. I ordered on-line but someone had to inform me of my refund. Very professional is what I'd say about that company.
