I went to Kit Kraft ( North Hollywood, Ca.) a local hobby shop today for some styrene and decided to browse the car kits, the owner is known for throwing some vintage kits in the regular stock and since the wall of models is about 20 feet long, if you have a sharp eye you might just get lucky.. I found a sealed AMT Penske PC6 Mears Cam 2 kit mixed in for $19.95. Although it was sealed when I opened it the decals were in the bottom upside down and upon closer inspection they have tire rings on them, So it had been re-shrinkwrapped.. No Big deal, this was the only version I didnt already have so I am a Happy Camper tonight!!!!

Actually I doubt it was re-shrinkwrapped, I've got a few kits that have had the tire marks on the decals...they just packed it wrong. All three Tamiya Porsche 956's Ive got had tire marks on the decals, even I got two of these PC6 with the same problem.....but really its no big deal....not going to use them anyway.

How is the AMT PC6 kit? I just snagged one on ebay earlier this week. It has not arrived yet.

With a bit of modifications you can also have the Penske F1 car, too! Not much work involved! (and this is the F1 section of the forum, Russ!! ;D ;D ;D
