Well,
As the one and only person to pick last years pole and race winner here on this forum, it falls upon me to start this thread for this years race.
Most Obviously, Race Winner.......Number 3, Helio Castroneveas - Unless someone else's mistakes takes him out, it's his to lose or win and join the ever growing list of Four Time Winners with Foyt, Unser Sr. & Mears. With Helio's Team Penske winning the pit-stop competition yet again.....It's only a matter of time for him to win his fourth.
First out of race in number 33rd position? - Danica Patrick
My hope filled dark horse winner? - Graham Rahal - I loved to see an American Born Driver win this sucker.
Also...I'd love to see Tough-Luck Tony Kanaan win this year....but with his team doing thier best "Monkey with a football" tricks, I doubt it will happen.

I'd like to see all 3 Penske cars taken out on the first lap. (wishful thinking...)
Seriously, I'd like to see anyone outside of Penkse or Ganassi win. I like a darkhorse... so I'm gonna take Kanann or Tagliani.

1) Castroneves 2)Tagliani 3)Franchini Penske will win again, Tag deserves a top 3 as a first year team owner he has done wonders and Dario will hang in there but lack the speed to place higher than 3rd. Danicka will take out Marco Andretti by lap 100 and get kicked off the team, leaving Mondays headline to report nothing but the Andtretti Autosports team meltdown, be ready to tune out the consistant whinning and crying....Chris  |

I would like to see Helio get his 4th victory, and if not, then Tony Kanann.
I didn't like the way Danika treated the other teams and all the other people involved in the ARCA race at Daytona. She wasn't much better in her Nationwide starts. She is not the sweet girl next door even when it comes to fans. So if she gets punted on the first lap I wouldn't mind it. I don't wish her any harm, just no luck in the race.
Rahal would be ok. Right now, none of the Andretti name. Kanann just drives for them.
Of course, I would love to see Super Tex's team win! ;D Probably about as much chance as I have to win, but it would be sweet.

Dang it Calvin! You stole my pick! I think Dixon will win also...not because I'm a big fan, just due to the fact he seems to be darn good on ovals and in the hunt at Indy...I have begun to grudgingly give him the respect he deserves...he stays cool, is always fast, and unless he has pit problems, he will win...
Keep an eye on Dan Weldon...he always seems to be good at Indy and pit stop timing may play a vital role like Rob pointed out...
Helio will end up in the top 3 but it all has to go right,just like last year, for him to win...
I'll be rooting for Tony Kanaan because he is a class act no matter what happens, and besides, my daughter in law loves him...talk about a "feel good story"...

the silly pick:everyone crashes but sarah fisher who wins enough money to go the full season with two cars.

A Penske, Just finished talking with a friend a who is Penske crew member, he told me, they have by far the two fastest cars on the track, as for the drivers one has now become a little erratic, one knows how to win at Indy and the other is very fast, confident, never complains. So my money is on Will Power. I don’t think any dark horses have a chance.
