My name is Jack Marahrens, I live in Williamsburg, Va.
After being "retired", I'm getting back into modeling after many years of looking at unbuilt kits sitting on a shelf.
Primary interest is Foyt cars of all ages, currently working on the Tamiya '93 Lola AJ took his last lap at the Speedway in.
Really looking forward to the new Revell Midget kit, a 1/25 Bowes #5 would look great in the display case beside the GMP Bowes sprinter and the Carousel '61 Indy winner.

I have a very goo dfrien that lives in VA. and he's on this forum. His screen name is "Slowbuilder), and that is an accurate name, even though he is quite good! I, liike you, am a big Foyt Fan.....you'll find many here that are.

Thanks for the welcome.
I've had the kit probably 10 years, and had some paint left from God knows how long that once I stirred it up was fine, however....need flesh for the driver figure's face, some gold for the "AJ" on the helmet and a fresh spray can of gloss black.....only to find there's not one store left in my town/county of almost 30,000 people that sells model paint anymore, and only two that sell any kits at all.
Tomorrow I get to drive 40 minutes to the closest real hobby store...
