The Face Of The Indy Racing League?

So i was watching AFN (Armed Forces Network) for those of you who are not military affiliated & an Indy 500 commercial came on where drivers were talking about the upcomming race later this month. Danica's face was the first thing they showed, then Scott Dixon & Helio & then Tony Kanaan & Dario. Now i personaly think that they should only have spoken to previous race winners but since Damnitka is I guess the face of the IRL, they had to have her in there. Kanaan got in because they couldn't be completely Damnitka biased so my deal here is: who should the face of the IRL be? I mean Damnitka though hot N sexy whatever, has not done near anything to earn the face of this sport. For example, Jimmie Johnson has won the last 4 titles in NASCAR but Intimidator Jr is considered the face of that sport. But unlike Damnitka, Jr has two Busch Series titles, & has won races at the places his father excelled including a win in the Daytona 500. A woman who could be the face of her sport in racing is perhaps Ashley Force, she's proven herself time & again & she's hot as hell as well. He hasn't won a title yet but I kinda think Helio should be the face of the IRL. I mean he's won Indy 3 times & he's a great driver with a great personality & he's on the right team just like Rick Mears back in the 80's. He's my choice, what do you guys think...

....it's all marketing rubbish.....Foyt, Herk, Jones...their actions on the track spoke volumes...today it's about who can be the face to sell the product.
I want to see any of these guys run the Friday night before the 500 in the "real champ cars" at the Indiana Fairgrounds....then I'll tell you who would be the "face" of IRL.

With Danica all but assured of going to NASCAR sooner than later, the league needs to start building up the other women in the sport. It would also help to get the face of Izod - Ryan Hunter Reay, a ride past Indy. it's absolutely nuts that the guy is near the top in points (ahead of any other AGR driver I think), is the only Andretti driver to win a race in nearly two years, yet Indy is his last race with the team, while princess runs around in 14th place every race!

Sadly, there is already a "Face of Indy Racing." It's Chip and Roger mooning all the fans. The Captain got his way when he whined about spending a month at Indianapolis was too long, that was one of the reasons Tony listed for starting the IRL. Marketing tools, or "Bean Counters" only look to the bottom line and that never shows how good things can be or will be. Daminitika brings interest and attention.....what kind? Beats me?

I fully agree on Hunter-Reay. There should be no question AT ALL of bank rolling this guy for the rest of the season. I heard an interesting comment on WIBC driving home this evening. Curt & Cavin show or whatever follows Davidsons show. The quote made was that Andretti Autosports needs around $400,000 a race to keep four cars running. But the general gist of the whole thing was that Michael would be ill-advised to cut the guy who's moving the freight for him as well as IZOD.
Graham Rahal is another kid who, by rights, should have a ride. At least with Tony George around, deals were brokered and guys in situations like Rahal and Raey could keep driving.
Oh well, enough ranting..............
We should have a write-in campaign; Parnelli and Simpson for IRL Pres. and Operations Officer... ;D
