SWEET!
Is that the same as the Merit/Smer kit? (which is what I have)

Cool! What brand of Blue paint did you use?

Very sweet build!!! I do believe Heller bought the old Merit mold, or that's what I heard. This was the only one they re-issued from that line. I'd love to see a re-pop of the Vanwall!
Again, nice build darylh!

Great model!
To answer the Heller/Merit/Smer question: No. The Heller is different from the Merit/Smer kit. I cannot remember exactly which is which, but one does the '49 version and one does the '50. MRRN had an article on the Talbot Lago and you can see the differences.
The Smer is a direct repop of the Merit, and the Talbot and Alfa 159 were the only kits Merit did with an engine. Also, the Heller kit had *wire* wheels while the Merit/Smer has a plastic disc with decal *wires*. A great place to use Herb's wire wheel trans kits! ;D

Thanks guys!
The paint is Tamiya TS23. I think it will be perfect for my Jackie Stewart MS80
The recent bounty of 1/20 F1 kits has got my juices flowing. They've finally come back to producing the subjects that really matter to me so I'm working my way back in the game.
.....and Bill, I completely forgot about my MRRNs. I've only used the 'net for reference but I have the full set of MRRNs in my library. I'll dig that issue out after church and see what I've missed

Any way you can post that MRRN article Daryl? I would love to see it.
