Nice job, it looks like you had a good time with it. I wish I could paint that well.

Yes, excellent work! It looks like the Studio 27 decals went on flawlessly. Any comments on their application?

2lapsdown: Practice, practice, practice. It took several coats of both the color and the clear before I was satisfied with the results.
Brian: The decals were probably in the top 3 sheets are far as quality and durability that I've ever used. They took decal solvent well and I only had one of the white stripes break and that was completely my fault.

That is a pretty paint job Duke! I've passed on that kit many times at the LHS but now I'm seeing it in a new light!

Really sweet job! That might be my next Tamiya build.
Why did you choose the S27 decals instead of the kit decals?

Really sweet job! That might be my next Tamiya build. Why did you choose the S27 decals instead of the kit decals? Thank you Brundle. I used the Studio 27 decals because the kit decals are notorious for not being opaque over darker colors and I didn't want to take a chance with them. Plus the sheet I bought gives you the option of building the test car so between the kit sheet and the leftovers from the Studio sheet I can build that version at some point down the road. G
