Oh Baby! That is great. How did you get those paint lines so clean? I just got my decals from Michael and now I'm excited to see how good they look. And what a great touch the Noid is from the kit decals. Excellent to this point so I can't wait til it's done. What is it with these cars? A pizza theme is developing. I need to find a Lil Caesar's set of decals.

How did you get those paint lines so clean? Light coats, you have to Dust it on. Keep that paint dry in at least 80 degrees. I like to paint at 90 degrees. I have a small bathroom in the shop that has a wall heater and I just crank that thing up full Blast! Use green masking tape and take your time to make sure it is stuck on.

That is just a SHARP looking car ;D a really solid paint job and a really well executed set of decals keep the standard of this build very high. Great job and quick work!! At this pace, I think you might just crank out a few cars this off season for the Build-O-Rama Jordan

Well, this car has turned into a nightmare. It looks like crap now...I have no clue why its happening.... but the front nose is cracking where I glue the two half's together, as you see in the pics a few days ago, its smooth a glass but not now. The reason, I dont know why? I cleaned it, sanded it before gluing together but I guess the glue and plastic didn't really get a good weld.

Testors glue, which I dont think its the problem at all. But Think it just didn't get a good weld and plus I had to shove the cockpit in there and I think thats what triggered it, Im going to try my best to fix the problem. I'm still tying to cool off from being so mad. Just for a good learning example and to try to turn this into a positive...try too ....If a person plans on gluing up that seam on the nose, make sure to go ahead and put the cockpit in and dont do it after the paint job. For next time I would glue the top and bottom on and let it sit for two days to let glue dry, then sand it smooth along with any body filler..then put some white primer on and let it sit for a week to see if the seam line starts to show. Easier said than done for us fast building maniacs.

If a person plans on gluing up that seam on the nose, make sure to go ahead and put the cockpit in and dont do it after the paint job. That's weird. I didn't have that problem on either of the last two builds. Then again the top and bottom halves don't really line up perfectly so... G

That's the thing about this hobby that is so madding at times. Just when you think it's going well......something goes totally wrong and humbles you.
I met my Waterloo with the Willimas Brothers Kit of Jimmy Dolittle's Gee Bee Racer Plane. What a mess! Just take you time and think about it, you'll find a way to fix it.
Best to you
