I set out to see if an accuratereplice could be built using the new hotwheels 1/24 car. I started by stripping the car to bare metal. Then self etching primer. Them primed and painted. No matter what I tried with the wheels they still looked toy like. Then I had an idea to try the wheels froma Revell Reynard. They looked to small. I then Tried just the wheels from the Reynard and the tires from the hotwheels car. I did replace the lettering with Indy 500 tire decals from Indycals.I think over all it came out nice and matches up good with the 1/25 scale cars I have already done. I also did a 1/18th just to see the difference between the 2. The 1/18th still needs a few parts before finished.
