What is the best way to add Rivets to a car? I'm working on my Fujimi Ferrari 126CK and there is no rivets molded into most of the tub.... Which bugs me. The Rivets need to be at least 0.010 in dia. Any Ideas? Ive been thinking about it for days, and I cant think of anything? Im good at the real thing ( my 1:1 scale Chaparral Project)

I was turned on to Grandt Line model railroad products some time back. They make all sorts of nuts and bolts, rivets, etc. A well stocked model railroad store should carry them. I had a local hobby shop order the stuff I wanted. I used item #154 (.043 rivets) on the side skirts. I also have .063 on hand. Hope this helps. G

Waldron makes a sub miniature punch and die set , it is offered through Roll models, I think I have something on the garage area page of my website in the tool section. Rivets are first attached with testors liquid cement and then hit with some weld on 3. Lance

Sizes in their sub-miniature set are .018, .023, .028, .033, .038, .043, .048, .053, .058 .063. They also make a miniature set that is larger than the sub-miniature set. These sets punch the rivets from sheet styrene . Lance

I use mechanical pencils and aluminum furnace tape. Get a pencil in the diameter you need, sharpen the barrel, press it onto the aluminum tape and it will remove a piece of tape the size and shape of the inner barrel of the pencil. Position the tip of the pencil where you want the rivet on the car, and use the lead advance to push the aluminum tape out of the barrel and onto the car.

I had never thought of that.
