Hi, my name is Chris Hale, many of you guys know me. I have been building model cars since the early sixties, I started because my dad owned Santa Ana Raceways,a slot car-hobby shop, I grew up around racing cars in particular Dan Gurney's shop AAR, Briggs Cuningham and his museum, Riverside International Raceway and my dad worked for Cox as a master model maker. My favorite subjects are all years F-1, Indy cars, almost anything Open Wheel, Lemans and sports racing cars. I also put on the Annual So Cal NNL model car show for charity. I am disabled so I have tons of time to build model cars, read books about racing past, and spend daily time doing research on my projects. I am real happy to join this group as many of my favorite builders post here and I always get motivated to build more, better and accurate builds when I see what everyone else is doing. My fotki album is under the name pmodwrks, you can see my builds, model collection, pics of the show I put on and other stuff. Thanks for having me! Chris

My dad did the masters for the Chaparral 2d and the Ferrari 206sp, I would love to get my hands on a 206sp but the prices are so high. It comes with the roadster and hardtop bodies. The R&D was a dierect pop off but by the time I could afford one he folded up! I just got the Ferrari 158 to match my BRM by Cox and Yes Patrick and I are old friends, one of the main reasons I joined this forum. I cant get enough of his Brilliant work!!Chris

HI Chris,
I sare a lot of the same pasions towards cars as you do. The LeMans and Sports Racing cars of the '50s-'60s are a favorite along with the F-1 and Indy cars. Back in the day I had several of the Cox slot cars, my favorite was the Chaparral! LOL!! (it has to still be around here, but I cannot find it. )
Thanks for joining and I hope you will share some of your work as we go on .
