I really love the two seat cars from the 30's. Russ' "Pay Car" inspired me to post this one. I was inspired to do this particular car when I saw color footage of it on a First Turn Productions DVD. This car finished 17th with Lou Moore at the wheel and Louie Webb as riding mechanic. Started 29th and ran out of fuel after 185 laps. Six others also ran out, as all entries were limited to 37.5 gallons for the race. I started with Jorgensen's 1931 winning Miller. I added the louvers and modified the cowl, seats and cockpit, as well as the nose with milliput. Scratchbuilt the instrument panel, hand brake, axles and hood straps, exhaust pipe, grille, rear radius rods and some steering components. I added photo-etch pedals and bolt heads on the frame and steering wheel. SE Finecast wheels, tires from an old Aurora kit. Decals from Indycals and Cady. Paint is Floquil and Tamiya. Thanks for looking. I am now working on the winning '36 Louie Meyer Ring-Free car for the IMS museum project. WIP's shots to come.

Tom;
I ave been a great admirer of your work for years now. This is fantastic!!! What a wonderful build! You inspire me to do what I am currently doing. This is one of the great things about this forum...The inspiration one gets to go on with building what they build, and the encouragement that one receives while doing it. I can't wait to see the 1936 Winner you're doing for the display. This Lou Moore/Louie Webb car is simply, stunning!
Best to you Sir!
Russ

Had this window open for like two days and I still can't think of the right superlative to describe this build. The classic shape and beautiful colors make this a very impressive build!
Is that a sewing needle I see?

Tom: I loved it on Lance's web site: It's even BETTER now! I too have a soft spot for the old 2 seaters...nothing like a depression to bring big changes and less expensive ideas to the fore... Kind regards, Tim

Gary doesn't do e-mail. Try either of these; 1-416-265-6430 or Gary Doucette 2224 Kingston Rd Apt 3 Toronto Ontario M1N 1T9 Canada
He's a super guy to deal with.
