I had done this car before but not a very good race day version. The issue was that I had a really hard time finding race day pictures of the car because on race day the car only last about 20 laps or so. Recently I found a video showing the car being pushed onto the grid and was able to get enough good views to do a correct version. The car was originally the C1 Gordon Johncock #24 and was converted to the Revson #12 with blue wings and other decals here and there. A nice and clean build with excellent photography to capture it all. That McLaren Orange is sure a striking color!

Stu,
You have taken die-cast collecting to a new, much higher and improved level. It looks fantastic!!!! WOW!!!
I always like Peter Revson...A much overlooked driver, in my honest opinion.
Best to you!

Thanks Guys.
Actually Russ the Mclaren Orange is from Carousel 1. I did not have to strip the whole car on this conversion and I believe the color C1 used is about the best match they ever did. I only removed the #24 decals, painted the front wing & rear wing ends plates Tamiya Brilliant Blue over white. Then added home made roundels and #12's and Peter Revson script. Easy conversion!

Your honesty is appreciated Stu. I have seen a guy pass off C1's as 1/25 plastic/resin which is pretty pathetic IMHO and totally unnecessary - this one will display nicely (or sell well). Nice work!

Thanks Guys. I think I know who you are referring too. He supplied a lot a great photos as I remember. Too bad he couldn't be honest about his work.

Actually I found (on ebay) a CD set containing over 3000 screen captures that were the same pics he posted. The *Medical* condition he was *suffering from* was the final straw. Worse plot than a bad B movie when it was exposed. And found to be untrue. Mongo
