1974 Al Unser Sr. Conversion

I was always disappointed how Carousel 1 really messed up the 74 Andretti Eagle. The red paint was more of a maroon and the white paint was a really bad off white. Not to mention that C1 used the post style mirrors for Mario's car when he actually had half moons that were attached to the windscreen. I have sine converted a Mario car but I got to wondering why C1 never did an Al Unser #15 Eagle? So, I just converted a 74 Mario into a 74 Al Unser.

Al's car did use the post style mirror but only on the right side. I stripped the body and filled the hole for the mirror on the left side and repainted the body and front wing white. Made my own decals on my home computer and below is the result. All decals are mine except for the aftermarket Viceroy's.

That is a very nice looking car! It is so cleanly build and sharp looking for tip to tail! Another excellent conversion

WOW! I can only say wow, wow, wow!! It took my breath away! Now if only Carousel 1 had only taken the time and effort that you did. That is the only reason I own five Carousel 1 die casts. I was given one 73 Winner as a gift. Most were very poorly executed and just were plain God Awful! I almost wish I had one of your conversions. That is the best looking eagle I've seen from them. Damn nice job!!!
