This is for everyone that has an old, and I do mean OLD Aurora/Best 1935 Winner or glue bomb of this car. I'm starting one to put into the display and I was look for research material for this car. Even Bob Clindinst doesn't have anything on this car. I remembered watch on of the "Indy 500: A Race for Heroes" profile on Wilbur Shaw and saw the footage of Kelly Petillo pulling into Victory Lane. This is one of the very shots of the right side of this car.
As you can see, the cockpit opening on the right side is much larger than the kits, Also, there are "wind-screens" in front of both the driver and the riding mechanic and the engine is covered on the right side. The car was cream and red like everything owned by Gilmore. A neat winning car from Indy's past.
