Gentlemen: Many thanks for all the kind words. Now that I have figured out how to post, I will begin "bombarding" you with past builds and WIP's... This is Chris Etzell's kit of Jimmy Bryans's 1954 National Champ car. It also finished second to Vukie @ Indy that year, but had side panels on the engine... I made this to look like it was getting ready to qualify at a dirt track (couldn't stand to mess up the paint job with mud)... One of my favorite builds...

Tim....
Feel free with builds like this to go ahead and "bombarding" the group with photos. We love them!!! I for one, learn a great deal more from build ups and finished products. Like getting taught by a master, and that Sir, you are. A Master Builder....so go ahead! BOMBS AWAY!!!!!!!!
Best to you!

Very nice, Tim! Isn't that about the best kit of all time? I'm in the early stages (on hold for my museum build) of a Jim Hurtubise/Racing Assoc. build of that kit. I wish I had enough to build ALL the versions! And yes, as Russ says, more pictures are always better.

Love the tape job on the steering wheel. What did you use? Looks to scale.

Dave; If I remember correctly, that's just the steering wheel that came with the kit. Mr.Etzell hit a home run on this kit, as it was fun, easy, and turned out great! Tim J

Tim...
I have to agree with you 100% on Etzel's Speed Classic Kits...not a lemon in the bunch! I still hear a few and rumors abound that someone is thinking of reissuing other of Etzel's its. In my review of the Stutz BlackhawkLSR Car, I said, "If you can't build one in an afternoon. you should have it taken away from you!"
Honestly, my opinion is a bit biased, (After all, I was one of Chris' closet friends and sales manager to West Coast Hobby Stores)....The only way Etzel's Kits could have been better is to have them made by Tamyia. His Monroe was tough, but worth it!
Best to you!
