This can't be good. Penske will now suck-up the next best sponsor(s) leaving the "bottom feeders" that much less to feed on.

Just a sign of the times and legislation. It will be a little strange watching the races this year without those red and white cars but life will move on. It will be interesting to see the liveries of the three Penske cars this year. Power has Verizon but what will Helio and Briscoe run?

I have no love for tobacco products but I sure did appreciate them supporting my favorite sport!!

From the promotional picture, it looks like all three will be the same color scheme. Almost reminds me of the old Newman/Haas scheme from the 90s. I too, will miss those bright red and white cars.....

I think the cars look fine. Nothing lasts forever.
I'm sure they, along with Ganassi, will be dominant regardless of paint color.

Seriously, I love the look of this scheme. After seeing the yawner that the #22 Nationwide car is, I think this one is very striking!

The change comes as part of federal advertising guidelines imposed on tobacco companies. Penske's new livery features the same colors, but they are used in different amounts and places, with black being the prominent color. The day-glo is still prevalent, per Penske's orders, but the overall scheme is jarring after seeing the famous M@r1b0r0 livery for so long. Penske himself designed this new appearance, Cindric said. "He's got a pretty good eye for knowing what looks good," Cindric said of his boss.

I did not know that. I presumed the change was because Phillip Morris stopped writing Penske a big check. Maybe they still are?

What I really meant was you were able to get off easy for last few years with the Penske cars winning with basically the same logos.

I will say that I still prefer the #12s all black scheme from last year (I will buy some of those decals from you Michael- I promise ;D) but I always liked cars in unified schemes running together so having three similar cars will be a cool sight.

Years ago when M@r1b0r0 was first rumored to be leaving the sport and Red Bull was pulling their $$ from Cheever's team, I thought Red Bull would have been smart to try to get on the Penske cars.

I like having tobacco in racing, because they have lots of money for the sport. But the Government doesn't see it that way. Face it, people are going to smoke whether its on a car or not.

i dig that look... ihope they find a sponser or bring back the penske trucking yellow car for helio or ryan.... for my being 24 my first memory of racing is penske M@r1b0r0 so i am sad its gone but we have to stop smokers by not allowing them to advertise and letting them keep the millions apon millions apon millions.... anyway.. i will be turning on of my 1/18 08 sarah fishers into a penske 2010 3,6, or 12

I think the new color scheme is sharp. It WILL be strange to not see the old M@r1b0r0 colors running.......

That's pretty much all there is to it. I had to create a grand total of three new pieces of art. Four if you count the 12s on Power's car, which I haven't done yet.
