Hey guys quick question: What do you guys recommend for decals on the tires? I'm building Guerrero's STP Lola from the Monogram kit and I'm thinking tire decals for the Nascar kits for the back (1/24th scale) and either AMT (1/25th scale) tire decals for the front or maybe tire decals for the front tires of a drag kit. Also what year did the Goodyear tire lettering go from white to yellow?

1992 Goodyear went to the yellows with #1 - it was my first Indy so it really stood out! If you want to use decals then get Powerslides for the front and back because the sides of the tires are actually the same size but the widths are different. Plus Mike is great to deal with! mysite.verizon.net/vze23f44/mikesdecals/id44.htmlThe other option is a P/E template to paint the Goodyears on the tires www.stradasportsstore.com/page67.htmlThe nice thing about the P/E is it is cheaper over time and more accurate as the originals seemed to be sloppily painted with a template. Another option would be Shabo dry transfers. G

I'd go with Shabos markings

Thanks guys! I think I may break down and get the stencils because I do like how those look on the real tires.
