What is the best Aluminum paint for an Aluminum Block, to make it look absolutely realistic and what is the best way to do a wash job on it too?

The "best" would probably be Alclad but I've gotten good results from different shades of Tamiya and Testors before so there are some options. For the wash, I use thinned Tamiya flat black acrylic. Just touch the brush to the part(s) and let it flow. The thinned medium will naturally fill in the nooks and crannies.

I use Tamiya XF-16 Flat Aluminum and thinned XF-1 Flat Black for the wash. I get the big bottles of X-20 Thinner, it seems to work better than anything else I have tried with the Tamiya bottle Acrylics. Mongo
