Hello. A mad Swede her. I have found my way back to automodelling. The interest for Formula 1 vanished when we lost both Swedish drivers in 1978. Before that I had built most of the Tamiya 1/12 scale F1 models an was a big Lotus fan. (There has been four Swedish drivers in Lotus cars). The news of the return in F1 for Lotus has for some reason sparked my interest in Formula racing again so now I bought every 1/20 and 1/25 plastic kit of the Lotus F1 and Indy cars I could find, so I have work ahead. I never stopped building models and at the moment I'm building three of the Lotus Indy Turbine cars from AMT. Not the best kits but for some reason most quality kits I found boring. But now I have a bunch of Tamiya kits to build. For some reason I've got an reputation of not building a kit without saw it in pieces. But it is not my fault that the kits isn't the version I want so I have to convert them. Some of the stuff I built can be found at: www.hobbybokhandeln.net/ if someone should be curious. I also have a build log of my turbine cars there. I am glad that I found this site. Indy racing isn't so big in Sweden. Björn Bäcklund

Welcome Björn. I was following your Lotus 56 progress on Hyperscale but it's even better to see it posted here.

Hi again Bjorn,
Welcome to this group. I left you a comment on the website concerning the Lotus 56B. I'm a formula car fan and a resident Ferraristi in this group. I love all open wheel cars especially F2 and F3 of the 60's. Indy cars of the 60's fascinate me, too. I'm doing a "WIP" of Jack brabham's Indy Cooper. Welcome and enjoy this group.
