Indy Car, for 2010, is concerned about marketing. I've been wondering why you can't walk into a Target and pick up their team gear (i.e. shirts, etc). When I ask a clerk about it, they look at me like I'm from Jupiter. And in the old days, you couldn't find any Newman-Haas stuff in K-Marts...........On most given days, you can find Nascar stuff at Walmart.....I don't go to the races to pick up stuff (maybe Long Beach though, next year).......Any thoughts?

That seems like a no brainer to me, good question. I'm sure at some level it's all about money. It always is. NA$CAR has over saturated the market IMO. Seems like Izod should be all over this, doesn't it?

Seems like Izod should be all over this, doesn't it? izod.com/GI can't wait to see all the races on Versus. Oh wait, I have DirecTV.

Even more puzzling for me was going to a Wal-Mart in Acapolco, Mexico on my honeymoon and finding a whole rack of various ChampCar t-shirts back in December 2006. Now mind you that I had never seen such a thing before or since in domestic Wal-Marts.

I've worked in marketing and I don't think using a 40 year old car that has never raced in the series I'm sponsoring is a good way to introduce new, young, hip(?) fans. But what do I know?, I'm not a new, young or hip fan. But then, the car in question is better looking than the current crap wagons.
