My wife called me last week and told me that I am getting my birthday present (BD is in June) early. We are going to make a trip of the Indy 500 this year ;D She's not much of a race fan but she's going to at least experience the Indy 500 once. I took her to an IRL race at Texas a few years back but it didn't light her fire - oh well. I don't know the details on how long we're going for but I sure am pumped to go to the big race again - I haven't been to the 500 since Helio first climbed the fence and that's way too long!! Jordan

I go every year and this year I went a day early and attended the memorabilia show, where I met Michael Portaro and Bill Jorgensen. Also met Scott (MacSparty). A real good guy.
So if you go early, let's meet up. Just bring extra money for anything you'll find interesting at the show.

Tickets are easy, especially as the race nears. Bronzes do NOT work on raceday. A special backer is needed. Quite frankly, you can get GREAT seats the morning of the race at quite a savings. Takes a bit of hustling but very easy to do.

If you are a ticket holder through the Speedway you can get post-race garage passes... for free. One pass for each ticket you hold.

I will be there most of the month. Have to go to the show on race week end. Last year was one of my favorite at the show. Standing talking with Michael, Bill J. Stu Binford and I can't remember the other operson but they are a member here also. Jordan. We will have to meet up and swap Reynard building stories.

I can relate to taking the wife to a race. In 1999 I begged my wife to go with me to a CART race at the California Speedway. That's right! That's the year Greg Moore was killed! On our aniversery yet! However, she's been to other IRL races there..........
