I built this earlier this year. In a bit of nostalgia, I bought the kit on a whim. I painted it like the box art, but worked the engine a little. I hacked off the lump on the top of the engine and fabbed (faked) some cam covers and water manifold. Aftermarket flared aluminum tubing was added to the injectors. Not sure if I have the pug wires going to the correct side of the magneto. The crew is getting ready for some practice laps! Thanks for looking. Dan Z

Nice build! It was fun, wasn't it? For an old kit, it has many good things to offer...maybe that's why it's being re-released again.
Best to you!

Thanks for the compliments on the Kurtis. Inspired by others on different modeling boards, I've been collecting some figures and began building a small shop diorama out of foam core board. The mechanic in the red ball cap came with the Kurtis kit. Some of the other mechanics and most of the tools are from Fujimi kits. I've picked up a few other figures from the G scale train area from that auction site. So with tongue planted firmly in cheek, I have shop personalities. The red head on the left is the office manager, Sue, and she is making sure that the guys turn in all the work sheets for billing. I also have some on-call experts to help out. Stampy is my Hemi expert. (For those that may not know, the 426 Hemi is nicknamed the elephant engine). Here are a few more photos of the Z MotorSports shop: s723.photobucket.com/albums/ww239/danz_photo_album/Z%20MotorSports/Thanks for looking. Dan Z

My favorite is that Coke machine. What a classic. Nice work by the way.
