I have the Monogram Indianapolis Racer kit and the MPC 3-in-1 kit with Parnelli Jones' 1963 winner, Jim Clark's 1963 Lotus and a 1974 McLaren. Are the kit wheels and tires any good? If not, what kind of aftermarket options for these wheels and tires are out there for these machines?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I think the wheels are okay in my opinion. Lance Sellers does 70s Indy tires, he also does tires for the 63 winner as part of a kit he produced. I'm not sure if he does those tires seperately. He's at lance@resincars.com. I've heard Norm Veber at Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland does tires for the 63 Lotus. I'm sorry I don't have his contact info.

Hey 2lapsdown!....
Norm Vebber has many great hings to offer, some of which are the proper tires for 1963 & 64. The part number is T-12 and they cost $7.50 a set and are molded in black resin. DrDave here on the forum is going to offer a set of wheels and tires for the Watson Roadsters. Norm ca be reached at....
The owner is Norm Vebber at 317 Roosevelt Ave., N.W. Glen Burnie, MD 21061
email-replmincomd@aol.com phone 9am-6pm EST, Mon-Sat, 410-768-3648
I used Norm's tires for my Bobby Marshman's 64 Firebird Special....I used the kits wheel and Norm's tires. For the latter Indy Car tires, I always raid the lat 80's AMT Kits. As for the Monogram Kurtis, again, DrDave is going to offer proper wheels and tires.
Best to you!
Russ
