I don't think any young American driver has enough money behind him to buy a ride in any F1 car. The only chance is to find a big bucks U.S. sponsor who wants an American in the car. Good luck with that. Spend 200 - 300 million to finish 15th. I hope they find someone that dumb, but I don't see it happening.

IMO if USF1 goes out and has nothing but non american ride buyers then the American people will care less about the new team.
