I don't normally watch Speed's Speed Report TV show but here's what I got from it in just a few minutes. Feel free to discuss them ;D *Penske hires KV Racing's engineer which indicates Penske might be building a third full-time IndyCar team *Bridgestone announces it is leaving F1 after 2010 when it's contract expires but it will not affect their MotoGP or IndyCar efforts. *Rubens Barichello moves to Williams for 2010 Jordan

It has been assumed for some time that Will Power will have a full time ride with Penske next year. He ran very well this year on a limited schedule.

I rooted for Will Power in '09 so this was great news!! I was hoping he'd get a third car again and any news that points to his getting a full-time ride is welcome!
The F1 news was quite surprising. Bridgestone's been one of the best suppliers F1 has had in a long, long time. Seeing them pulling back is surprising to me.
Rubens switching to Williams was shocking. When was Williams last a threat? When Moytoya was at the wheel? Seems like their cars have been off these last few years, so I'm not sure why RB would leave Braun. Maybe he'll look real smart in a year but I can't see it now....

Rubens is turning into an Ironman for his F1 career, wasn't his rookie season 1993?

Just what we need... more Penske cars.
I can't wait to see who lands where in F1.

I'm not sure why RB would leave Braun. Maybe he'll look real smart in a year but I can't see it now.... Jordan That's assuming of course that it wasn't Brawn's decision not to resign Rubens in the first place that led him to go to Williams and team with Nico Hulkenberg. I saw this on F1-live.com: Sir Richard Branson is still refusing to confirm the open secret about his plans to leave Brawn and rename the new Manor Formula One team 'Virgin F1' in 2010. "In a month we'll let you know," the British billionaire said in a news conference in Italy earlier this week. Should be an interesting off season to say the least. G

Leaving may not have been Rubens idea, it has been thought that Braun is looking at younger drivers. Don't forget that the 2010 F1 car will be very different from the 2009, and Braun has not locked up a sponsor for next year. With all the political crap in F1 from both the FIA, and Bernie the weasel, I can't understand why any large corporation would want to be involved in the first place. When you are the spec tire you have very little to gain and a lot to lose. Do you really think anyone thinks that Goodyear is a great tire because all the cars in SMASHCAR run them?
