Okay, we all have our favorites. The really nice kits that we love to build...... BUT we must have the kits that make us cringe. Here are two of mine. The worst ever, even if they are older than I am. Truly Butt Ugly That is the best thing I can say about the Best/Aurora Fuel Injection Special and the Maserati they did in the 1950's. Not an accurate angle on either kit. I call these "The Gummy-Bear Kits" from this collection. Now, mind you, Best/Aurora did some fine work on the 1920 Monroe, the 1922 Murphy Special, The 1931 Bowes Special Fast Special and the 1935 Glimore Speedway Special, but the last two they did were really bad....or in words that Leonard Pimth Garnell would use...."These blow dead dogs!" Okay, these are my picks, what are yours? Best to you! Russ

Well....I inf of figure that no one wanted to add to the ever popular list...then I will.
AMT, the darlings of modeling had a really bad kit in the mid 1970's of the Eagle. Not a correct line on the POS!!! It's only good for spare parts now for when you build Bill Jorgensen's Eagle conversion kit. The Olsonite/Jorgenson Eagle was only slightly better than the Patrick Eagle, but both blew chunks!
After building the Old Monogram Kurtis kit a few months ago, I was shocked to discover it wasn't at all as bad has I had originally thought. Quite a good kit really. Kind of like the second thoughts I have about the old AMT Lotus Kit. When compared to Bob Clidinst's drawings, not bad at all.
Best to all!
Russ

The only ugly cars I've seen are the early works I did before I discovered this forum and had the benefit of everyone's knowledge.

The AMT McLaren's deserve addition to the list. Not as bad as the Eagles - at least the McLaren's were loosely based on the 73 McLaren, but still don't look anything like it.
I'll also give honorable mention the Monogram Lola and March kits. They are actually both decent and decent looking, and they build up nicely, but neither really looks like the car they are supposed to represent.
