Anymore pics of that Offy powered Lotus 56? That would make a sweet conversion.

Hey guy...
I agree with you on that one. All you would need is a reissue AMT Lotus 56, a proper size Iffy Engine and time and patients to hack away at the body. You'd also need new tires for that sucker, but you could get those from Norm Vebber at Replica & Miniatures of Maryland. He has all you need actually. with his Rislone Eagle Conversion kit. That would be a fun build.
Best to you
Russ

Those are awsome, Thanks Duane. I know Russ loves the front engined cars, but these cars were beautiful!

That 56 was actually a new car built for the Offy, but of course a 56 would work. I have been thinking of doing a Carousel One conversion of that car.

Is the Firebird Special and the 80 STP based on the Lotus 29? I know Lance Sellers is doing the '65 Foyt Lotus. That will be a nice kit! Nic

Firebird Spl was a 29, #80 is a Lotus 42.

I have been waiting on word from Lance since I have a Lotus kit to modify myself. It is one of only a handful of rear engine cars I really want to do from the period. Especially since it is A.J.'s. Having a kit from Lance would make live much easier! I have seen his pictures of one he is building but no word of him releasing it as a kit. Mongo

Again, this not one of the 56 turbines, it was a new car built by Granatelli.

Does that book have any pics of the 1966 Lotus 38 of AJ Foyt? If not, do you know of any? The only pics I can find are the diecast. Nic

Nic...
If you are refuring to the booik that came out a few years ago, "Team Lotus," yes, there are some very nice color photos of Foyt's 66 Lotus 38. Good book!!!
Best to you!
