Fun thread - I like it!! ;D ;D I can't believe you don't already have all those kits. That could mean they aren't available, or you would've purchased them already. My wish list? At least 10 1986 Cummins March kits 5 K-Mart Lola kits 10 Provimi Lola kits Any amount of kits from the 1990s and recent years. Most of all, just better overall building skills. If I could get my builds to looks nearly as good as Greg's or Scott's, (the guys that have many builds posted here) I'd be a happy model builder.

I'll try not to hijack the thread but I haven't ever seen any of the cars I listed available in 1/25. BTW, your list was way too reasonable kits already produced lol where's the challenge for the elves? Jordan

Dear Santa,
I have been a good *little* boy this year and I would really love it if you could bring me the following 1/25th scale model car kits
I want 2 dozen REALLY GOOD 1/25th scale Watson Roadster kits
A complete detail Lancia Ferrari D-50 kit
A 1961 Ferrari Snarknose kit
(3) '67 Eagle kits
An A.J. Foyt 1965 Sheraton Thompson kit
And a 1967 Coyote kit
And correct extra sets of wheels and tires for all of the above
That's all for now, I don't want to be greedy.
I promise not to be naughty in school for a whole month!
Thank you, Santa, I will leave out the milk and toll house cookies, and make sure Buddy is put away Christmas Eve so that he doesn't bother you when you arrive.

As for my wish list, the challenge for the elves is in my last request: Better skills so my builds will look better. If I was a rich man, I'd pay $1000 a week for the opportunity to to get hands-on tips from our best guys. Heck, I think I've told Russ I'd pay him to show me how to do a glue bomb and a scratch build. He laughed because he says it's easier than I think.

Scratch building is easy, the hardest part is convincing yourself that your doing it correctly. and...O yeah the 2nd hardest part is to use the least amount of body filler as possible LOL ;D

Hey there!
I have found over the years, the two best fillers and putty's to use on plastic kits are, Everycoat Metal Glaze, a spot filler putty used on final finish up bondo work for body shops...and A/B Epoxy Putty used by plumbers. It's a two part putty that takes a long time to dry, but you can almost rebuild anything with it. Both are great, one is expensive as all get out!
Best to you!

THE NIGHT BEFORE THE CHRISTMAS 500
Twas the night before the 500, and all through the garage, not a car was running not even the Delage.
The stockings were hung by the tools with care, in hopes that A.J. soon would be there!
The children were nestled all snug in their beds. While visions of Marches and Wildcats danced in my head.
With mum in a beaufont hairdo and I in my Target team cap, had just fallen asleep with the map in my lap.
When out in the driveway there rose such a clatter, I sprang from the recliner to see what was the matter!
Away to the frontdoor I flew like a bird, tore open the door and couldn't believe what I heard!
When what to my watering eyes should appear, but Mario in Brawner Hawk being pulled by eight tiny reindeer!
That little old driver was so lively and quick, to outrun him you needed Mears and a Penske sly trick!
More rapid than Marches or Eagles he came, he shouted and called them by name.
Now Lola, now Lotus, now Curtiss and Watson, On Bardahl, on Murphy, on Sheraton and Thompson.
So, up to the top of the garage he flew, with his car full of modeling goodies for me and you!
As I came back in the house turning around, there stood Al Unser who came in without a sound.
A bundle full of models he had slung on his back, he looked like he just won another 500 as he opened his sack.
With him was Michael and Junior how merry, there were holding jugs of milk, it looked like a dairy.
Emmo and Jones and Vucky were there too, spinning their tires and making donuts as they flew!
I laughed when I saw them in spite of myself, they reminded me of a bunch of Oompa Loompas or a bunch of mad elfs!
With a twink of the eye and a twist of his head, they were all gone to my dread!
Where did the guys like Rutherford and Johncock and Foyt go, Ward and Lockhart and some guy named Leoanrd, I think his first name was Joe.
They spoke not a word as they drove out of sight, hopefully some day they'll all come back and make Indy right!
Sorry, I had a few short moments of time and couldn't resist. So, I took some liberties. I know I missed some fovorite drivers and cars, but it's the best I could do on short notice.

Jim, that just made my day. You made that up yourself? Either you have too much free time. or you had a few too many last night. In either case, nicely done. Let's make sure that stays near the top for the holiday season.
